Learning and Testing FLASH: Practical Notes

This page is intended for members of the Computational Astrophysics group at McMaster University who whish to learn and be involved with the testing of the FLASH code. The code was developed at the ASCI/Alliances Center for Astrophysical Thermonuclear Flashes at the University of Chicago.


Getting Started:

At the moment, there's not a lot of explanation here, but it is mainly meant as a step-by-step spoon-feed for those who are just getting started. Please talk to Sean if you have any questions/problems along the way.

  1. Get a copy of FLASH source code
  2. Setup and Run Brio Wu shock test
  3. Visualize the data with IDL
