SST 2004 Group Picture

Solar Observing at McCormick Observatory

Braving the heat of a hazy Virginia summer day (with a heat index of 104deg mind you), the SST participants were able to get some great observing of a large naked eye "S-shaped" sunspot group on July 22nd.

   

Cosmology Activity

Apparently, I brought the digital camera on the right day! If the students could only see their teachers...

The summer 2002 workshop was funded under the federal Dwight D. Eisenhower Development Program through the State Council for Higher Education for Virginia.
