Summer 2012 Workshop

All participants will receive 3 graduate credit hours in astronomy for ASTR 6340: Astronomy Concepts in the Classroom.

There is a $300 fee for tuition (this is approximately 1/3 the cost of full tuition. The Virginia Space Grant Consortium is covering about 2/3 of the cost of tuition for each teacher). School systems may pay some or all of the tuition or reimburse the teachers for the cost of tuition. On the first morning of the workshop, the University will send a registrar to help you fill out the forms and to accept payment. Tuition can be paid by check (made out to the University of Virginia) or by credit card. If you would like the tuition billed to your school system, please bring a letter from your administration stating how much the school system is paying, and a billing address.

Please contact Ed Murphy (emm8x@virginia.edu) if you are taking any other courses at the Unversity of Virginia during Summer 2012. Teachers are limited to only one course with reduced tuition.
