Other scores are as posted on April 13. The DEADLINE for the "Orbit of Mars" and "Moons of Jupiter" extra-credit assignments (10 point maximum) is FRIDAY, APRIL 24. Submit to me in class or to my mailbox in the Astronomy Dept office (Rm. 204 Astronomy Building). The DEADLINE for the "Telescope Observing" extra credit assignment (25 point maximum) is TUESDAY, APRIL 28. Possible observing nights are Thursday April 23 and Monday April 27. The LAST NIGHT for the Constellation Quiz is TUESDAY, APRIL 28. The FINAL EXAM will be held SATURDAY, MAY 2, 2-4 PM in CLK 107. There will be a REVIEW for the Final on FRIDAY, MAY 1, 5:30-6:30 PM in CLK 107. Midterm 2 scores are posted, together with all Puzzlah scores and all Constellation Quizzes through 4/9/09. Posting does NOT include any "extra credit" assignments. NOTE: Puzzlah scores are "raw" and have not been converted to final recorded form (RP). If your listed Puzzlah score is "P", then the final recorded score is computed as follows: If P is 80 or below, then RP = P If P is above 80, then RP = 80 + 0.5*(P-80) and rounded up. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 9 April 2009 Because of the bad weather this semester, I'm EXTENDING THE FULL-CREDIT DEADLINE for the extra credit "TELESCOPE OBSERVING" assignment until Tuesday, April 28. Those will be assigned after Spring Break. 2) You are not expected to read the chapter labeled "S1" in the Bennett text. 3) If you see references to the "Seeds textbook" in the Study Guides, you have downloaded **old** versions of the guides. Those will be labeled "Spring 2008". Today's assignment will be shifted to Thursday, and other assignments will shift in parallel. Daily assignments are given on the individual Study Guides.
