Grades for this class are available on a password-protected web site
maintained by the Department of Astronomy. The site is located at:
Your login name on this site will be your UVa/ITC-assigned email/login
ID. You will be asked to select a password when you first log-on
to the site.
Grades will be updated every couple of weeks, as work is graded.
Alerts will be posted on the Announcements page.
10/16/06: Grades for Lab 1 and 2 are now posted.
11/08/06: The gradesheet including the Midterm exam is now posted.
Midterm high score: 123/126; mean: 98/126; low: 57/126.
11/13/06: Lab 3 grades have now been posted (collect papers from the
TA's during lab hours). Mean score: 141/150.
11/27/06: Grades for the first Optional Lab are now posted (100 or
200 point maximum, depending on which you did). Late
submissions haven't been graded yet.
12/14/06: Final quiz scores are posted for everyone who took the
quiz on time. High score: 75/75; mean: 63.4/75
(84.5%), low: 39/75.
12/19/06: FINAL GRADES ARE NOW POSTED
The A- and C- grade cutoffs were adjusted downward
slightly. The mean score on Lab 4 was 139/150.
The mean total score for all assignments was
892/1001.

Here is the meaning of the column headings on the grade page:
MDX = Midterm Exam score (126 point max)
FNX = Final Exam score (75 points max)
L1 = Constellation Lab (100 point max)
L2 = Intro Binoc Lab (100 point max)
L3 = Intro Small Telesc Lab (150 point max)
L4 = Telescope Obs I (150 point max)
O1, O2, O3 = Optional labs (100 or 200 points)
TOT = Total score (end of semester, sum of all points)
LET = Final letter grade (end of semester)
