CorMASS
IRAF Reduction:
Prior to the development of 'Cormasstool' for IDL by Mike Cushing, reduction was accomplished using IRAF routines (and a few steps in IDL) as described in the reduction manual (cormex2.pdf). The IRAF steps closely follow the procedures and parameters described in 'Introduction to Echelle Data Reduction Using the Image Reduction Analysis Facility,' Churchill 1995, Lick Observatory Technical Report No. 74. Neal Miller kindly developed some IRAF scripts that partially automate the process. These scripts are described in: cormass reduction with scripts.ps. Necessary support files and scripts can be downloaded below.- Bad Pixel Mask
- IDL Routines
- cormdiff.pro: Converts two-planed (R1,R2)
CorMASS FITS file to a differenced image
(R2-R1) and writes to a working directory. - cormass2.pro: Pre-processes CorMASS 'differenced' (R2-R1)
images to correct for reset voltage decay pattern effects
present in NICMOS3 images. - magicsub2.pro: Used with cormass2.pro
- numlines.pro: Used with cormdiff and/or cormass2
- IRAF Scripts
- Stellar Line Interpolation
