Instructions for Submitting Articles

Articles may be submitted in the following ways:

• sending TeX, LaTeX, or PostScript files by email to benews@mucen.usc.edu
• leaving the file in a public directory at your own site, and sending email to benews@mucen.usc.edu with instructions for retrieving the file.

We will also accept plain ASCII text files, but we prefer the formats listed above for ease of preparation.

Authors of longer contributions may want to use one of the TeX or LaTeX macro packages specifically designed for the production of astronomical publications. We recommend AASTeX, A&A, or lamuphys. If you use other macros not available in the list maintained by the Los Alamos National Laboratory e-Print archive, then please send them along with the main TeX or LaTeX file.

We prefer that figures be submitted as PostScript files, but we will also accept other formats (GIF, TIFF, JPEG, etc.) on an experimental basis. Animations (movies) should be submitted as MPEG files.
