Hadamard, Jacques (1865-1963)
    

French mathematician who proved the prime number theorem Eric Weisstein's World of Math independently of Vallee Poussin in 1896 (Smith 1994, p. 128). He also developed Hadamard matrices Eric Weisstein's World of Math and did work on the calculus of variations. Eric Weisstein's World of Math
