• 2009-present - NASA Earth & Space Science Fellowship (NESSF) recipient
• 2007-present - Studying the extinction characteristics and 3-D distribution of interstellar dust in the plane of the Milky Way Galaxy with Dr. Steve Majewski.
• 2005-2008 - Working with Dr. Ciska Kemper (now at Jodrell Bank), using the Spitzer Space Telescope to analyze the dust and ice environments surrounding newly-formed protostars.
• 2005-2009 - Presidential Research Fellow at UVa.
• 2004 - Summer Research Student at the University of Rochester, working with Dr. Dan Watson and the Spitzer's Infrared Spectrograph Disks team on some of the telescope's first results.
• 2003 - Summer Research Student for the University of Tennessee's High Energy Physics research group, characterizing the single photoelectron response of the 20" photomultiplier tubes used in the KamLAND project.
