Astronomy Clusters

The astronomy department owns and maintains two Beowulf Computing Clusters, Hyades and Pleione.

Hyades

Hyades is a 24 node HPC Cluster optimized for parallel computing. Hyades offers InfiniBand as well as Gigabit ethernet networking.

Pleione

Pleione is an 8 node HPC Cluster optimized for embarrassingly parallel (single-threaded) jobs. The only network available to Pleione is Gigabit ethernet.
