A system of coordinates fixed with respect to the overall Hubble flow of the universe, so that a given galaxy's location in Comoving coordinates does not change as the Universe expands. This allows distances, locations, etc. in an expanding homogeneous and isotropic cosmology to be related solely in terms of the scale factor.
