1) Proximity of R1 sources (prox column from release database -- this is not the R1 vs R1 proximity)
2) Proximity of all source in release (1 million sources sampled at counter numbers ending in "00").
Since proximity and cc_flg~'[c]' should be correlated, the plots below show the relationship between j_m and proximity for a sample which contains "c" in the J-band cc_flg. The plots are, as before, for a sample of the entire release database and for the full sample of r1 stars in the release database.
1) j_m vs. Proximity for all r1 sources which had a cc_flg of 'c__'
2) j_m vs. prox for 500000 sources with ph_qual='A__' and cc_flg='c__'
Calculation of prox is now complete out to the largest separations. The images below show that all of the odd features have been accounted for in the original plots. The horizontal scale is not prox/10.
1) j_m vs. prox for all sources with rd_flg like '1__' and cc_flg like 'c__'
2) j_m vs. prox for all sources with rd_flg like '1__' and cc_flg ~'[c]'
3) j_m vs. prox for all sources with rd_flg ~'[1]' and cc_flg ~'[c]'
