I work on supernovae and Gamma Ray Bursts. My primary interest is to study the
circumstellar interaction of young extragalactic supernovae with inputs
from radio and X-ray wave bands. I have used
GMRT , VLA,
ChandraXO and XMM-Newton
telescopes for such studies.
Observations of young supernovae in these
wave bands unravel the aspects of circumstellar
interaction such as the mass loss rate of the progenitor star,
structure of the outer region of the supernova etc.
My another major research interest is in Gamma Ray Bursts.
I am involved in the NRAO-GRB program of
Caltech and
NRAO.
