My recent work has focused on space astrometry missions, reference systems, space surveillance, and time. I have co-edited the third edition of the "Explanatory Supplement to the Astronomical Almanac" and co-authored the books "Fundamentals of Astrometry" and "Time-from Earth Rotation to Atomic Physics". I am currently writing a book "Celestial Mechanics and Astrodynamics: Theory and Practice". I am President of the Celestial Mechanics Institute and past chairman of the IAU/IAG Working Group on Cartographic Coordinates and Rotational Elements.
